First Flights

These bird baby dudes just completed their first ever flight attempt. It was a downward and diagonal from their nest to a backpack. We learned that sometimes baby birds will try to fly, land on the ground, and may stay grounded for a day or two. The mother bird keeps a close watch, brings them food, and then eventually they figure it out and fly around like little fighter pilots.
